DESCRIPTION OF CONTROLS
ON/OFF SWITCH : This is provided at the backside of the unit
GAL/FAR SELECTOR : Used to select either Galvanic or Faradic SWITCH mode of current required.
SURGE CONTROL : To adjust surge rate in interrupted Faradic mode.
INTENSITY CONTROL : To adjust level of intensity, in both Galvanic & Faradic modes.
OPERATING PROCEDURE
- Ensure all controls in the minimum position and the unit is in OFF position.
- Fix the electrodes to the patient.
- Select either Galvanic or Faradic modes are required.
- Galvanic Mode : Select plain or interrupted Galvanic mode as desired. : In the interrupted mode select duration and pulse rate as desired.
- Faradic Mode : Select either plain or interrupted mode : Select desired surge level in interrupted mode.
- Switch on the Machine.
- Adjust intensity control slowly till the desired level of stimulation is achieved.
PRECAUTIONS TO BE OBSERVED
- Ensure proper EARTHING CONNECTION.
- Take proper care to wet the electrodes to ensure good body contact.
- Switching “ON” the machine when the intensity control is not at ZERO may cause a severe shock to the patient and should be avoided.
- Ensure that the two electrodes do not touch each other when the unit is switched on.
- There are no user serviceable parts in the machine. Refer any complaints to the manufacturer/their authorized distributors..
